Context
- You wish to improve your audit practice of core tools, in particular those required by German manufacturers.
- You want to demonstrate the competence of your internal and 2nd party auditors to better meet the requirements of IATF 16949.
- You are looking to demonstrate the competence of your auditors to be able to access the VDA 6.3 process auditor certification exam, required by the VW group.
Objectives
- Understand how core tool requirements should be audited.
- Learn how to evaluate the evidence provided and draw audit conclusions.
- To know how to technically evaluate the correct application of the VDA core tools during project development and mass production phases : MLA (Maturity Level Assurance for New Parts), FMEA according to the AIAG&VDA manual, Special Characteristics according to the VDA manual, Measurement System Capabilities according to VDA5, SPC in connection with VDA4, PPA according to VDA 2, Control Plan, 8D.
- Understand the differences between the AIAG and VDA core tools.
- To certify one’s ability to audit the core tools by passing an exam.
Recommanded for
- Internal or 2nd party auditor qualified, or registered to become qualified, for process auditing according to VDA 6.3, and seeking to pursue certification.
- Internal or 2nd party auditor certified for process auditing according to VDA 6.3, and wishing to extend his certification after 3 years.
- Internal or 2nd party auditor, for the quality management system audit according to IATF16949, looking for a qualification on the audit of VDA automotive core tools.
Prerequisites
- The participants are “confirmed” listeners
- Good knowledge of the core tools of the German automotive industry
- In preparation for the training, it is recommended to refresh one’s expertise with the help of appropriate information sources, if necessary.
- For those who are not familiar with the core tools of the German automotive industry, we recommend that you first take the following course : 9525 –Discovering the AIAG & VDA Automotive core tools, referenced in IATF 16949
Pedagogy
- The participants reinforce their technical skills and deepen their knowledge by alternating theoretical contributions and exercises on typical examples of audit situations.
- The acquisition of knowledge by the trainees is validated by a MCQ, which, depending on the results, gives rise to a certificate of qualification; a necessary condition for registration for the VDA 6.3 certified auditor exam. In case of failure of the exam, the trainee receives a certificate of attendance.
