LEAN IN DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT: ACT ON THE RIGHT LEVERS – #57
Context
A Lean approach is in place in the company or is being deployed, but it may only affect production or the “factory” at the moment. You want to extend the approach to the major process of new product design and development because :
- The activities carried out by all the R&D teams must also be optimised and therefore Lean.
- The products resulting from this process must be more Lean to manufacture.
Objectives
- Understand R&D as a process and identify the major components.
- Identify how to apply Lean to each of these components to increase value creation in a shorter lead time.
Recommanded for
- R&D managers
- R&D teams
- General managers
- Purchasing teams
- Quality teams.
