Control Plan according to AIAG manual – # 331
Context
The Control Plan continues to be an ongoing point of audit non-conformances during IATF audits and is consistently in both the top ten major and minor non-conformances as identified by the International Automotive Oversight Bureau (IAOB).
The Control Plan manual edited in 2024 includes Lessons Learned from escapes during both Product Launch and Serial Production.
Objectives
- Understand the role of the Control plan and its importance in the distribution of resources, in order to assure that the requests of the client regarding the product’s characteristics are fulfilled.
- Be able to build a control plan that will help you to communicate the testing methods to control the product and process, the means that are used and the reaction plan in case of non-conformance detected.
- Understand why Control Plan is also a good methodology for quality planning, quality assurance and quality control which is used as long as the product is manufactured.
- Understand the three types of monitoring plans: Prototype, Pre-launch, Series production.
- Understand how to deal with special characteristics and/or pass-through characteristics.
Recommended for
- This training course is aimed at all those who wish to discover or better understand the content and how to build a control plan, and who participate in the launch of manufacturing series, in particular those involved in planning, quality assurance and process auditing.
