Context
- Internal audits (known as 1st part) and supplier audits (known as 2nd part) are part of the company’s continuous improvement process. They must be “profitable”, i.e. enable you to identify ways of improving the performance of each of your company’s processes or those of your suppliers.
- Auditors must maintain their knowledge, particularly of IATF 16949 requirements, which include the Sanctioned Interpretations (SI), which are regularly updated.
- The audit must be risk-oriented, and therefore requires thorough preparation based on good risk identification practices.
- Lastly, any deviations must be correctly labelled in order to commit the actors to improvement.
Objectives
- Reinforce your knowledge of IATF requirements and in particular validated interpretations (SI).
- Be able to audit SI.
- Strengthen risk preparation and identification practices
- Improving the way to formalize deviations.
Recommanded for
Auditors who have completed an initial auditor’s course and have practised auditing internally or at suppliers’ sites, wishing to update their knowledge or learn about good practice, for example in the following cases:
- after having been trained for 3 years or more
-
- after a period without practice
- in response to an internal requirement to “updating your knowledge”.
Prerequisites
- Completion of training course MSY101 “ISO 9001 & IATF 16949 – Quality Management Systems for Automotive: standard requirements”,
and,
- Completion of training course MSY102 “IATF 16949 – Quality Management Systems for Automotive: auditor 1st & 2nd party”
or equivalent trainings.

- The course includes :
- brainstorming in sub-groups
- trainer presentations
- practical applications based on several case studies, in sub-groups or individually, always reinforced by the trainer
Evaluation mode
- Knowledge test (MCQ).
