ISO 26000 – How to lead your CSR initiative? #262
Context
-
You would like to know how to implement your CSR approach with the help of the ISO 26000 standard.
- You would like to learn more about ISO 26000 and translate its principles into concrete actions.
- You want to assess your company against the ISO 26000 standard.
Since the Pacte law of 2019, all companies must strengthen corporate social responsibility (CSR) to “take into consideration” environmental and social issues in the management of their activities and in their relations with their customers, employees, suppliers, shareholders and local stakeholders.
CSR means putting into practice the “sustainable development” of its activities, in order to limit their impact on the environment and have a positive impact on society, while remaining economically viable.
ISO 26000, an international standard, defines the scope of CSR around 7 central issues:
- organizational governance (e.g. ethics, corruption),
- human rights (e.g. control of subcontracting and risk of child labor),
- labor relations and working conditions (e.g. overwork, ISO45001),
- the environment (e.g. Bilan Carbone®, ISO14001, ISO50001),
- fair practices (e.g. anti-corruption),
- consumer issues (e.g. digital data processing),
- communities and local development.
If you would like to commit your company to sustainable development and corporate social responsibility (CSR), in order to create added value recognized by your customers, while remaining economically viable: EURO-SYMBIOSE can help you with your project.
