Reversed Process FMEA – #1180
Context
Several manufacturers such as STELLANTIS, RENAULT, FORD, GM, etc., and also some Tier 1 suppliers require, as part of their CSR, to implement Reverse FMEA during the production phase.
Reverse FMEA is a tool that complements PFMEA, enabling the application and effectiveness of the prevention and detection measures defined in PFMEA to be verified during series production, new failure modes and new causes to be discovered, and ratings to be updated on the basis of factual data during series production.
At the end of a Reverse FMEA, new risk reduction actions are decided upon, and the PFMEA Â and associated production documentation are updated.
You want to:
- improve defect prevention in your production lines.
- enrich and make your existing PFMEA (generic or specific) more robust, based on observations and feedback.
Objectives
- Identify the advantages and benefits of Reverse FMEA for your company.
- Prepare, organise and carry out a Reverse FMEA on your production lines.
- Based on the observations, initiate the updating of the PFMEA and the production documentation.
Recommanded for
This training is highly recommended for technicians, engineers and managers of industrialisation/engineering, production, maintenance and quality departments.
Prerequisites
- To know the company’s products and manufacturing processes
- Control the FMEA method and regularly participate in FMEA process studies
Pedagogy
- This training-action quickly puts the participants in a situation for a better appropriation of the methodology of the Reverse Process FMEA. For each didactic contribution, a case study from the company is developed and put into practice in real time.
- Preparation prior to the training course is necessary in order to collect the company’s data required for the organisation of the workshops and for facilitation in the field.
Evaluation mode
- Validation by the trainer of the ability to apply the concepts and tools taught through situational exercises.
Course materials
- Participant’s file containing the presentations delivered during the training and the exercise materials.
